List of reviewed ATP pages:

1. ATP "2-pager" Default page for the ATP server. This page has content from a paper UCRL.

Brief personel information (very little content):

2. The staff of the Advanced Telecommunication Program at LLNL.
3. Brief professional biography for James E. (Jed) Donnelley
4. Jed's list of publications.

The remaining pages have very little content other than links to other pages:

5. ATP maintained list of known online standards documentation
6. ATP maintained list of known Computer and Communication Company Web links
7. Bagnet interest page

As far as I (Jed) know, these pages have followed all LLNL guidelines for document "publication" (i.e. wide area distribution) on the Web and have been through the appropriate review process for external distribution.

I have been asked to add the page:

9. ATP link page

to the list of those reviewed so that a link to this page can be put somewhere into the LLNL structure as a general interest page of Web links. This structure has been given to a number of people onsite at LLNL and to some of our collaborators for general interest as a jumping off page. As noted in the "Intro" for this page, however, I didn't intend it to be generally advertised. It currently is not linked to from the LLNL "Home" page or from any of the other "released" ATP page.

An issue that comes up with this page is that I have included in it (indirectly through the Intro page) a link to a "personal" page:

9. Jed's personal page

A concern that was brought up previously about this page is that it does not appear "professional" enough. Consequently, I removed it from those linked to from the LLNL home page. Since I do want to keep a link to it from the ATP link page, I am now bringing it up for consideration for review and release.

Essentially the issue is how informal can such personal pages be. I find such informal personal pages quite useful in helping to get to know some of the people that I am dealing with on the net. I have found my personal page useful in letting people on the net (e.g. those in Stuttgart where I will be working for the next year) know about me.

After talking it over with Jerry Owens and Sam Coleman, we decided to bring the issue of such personal pages to the consideration of the Mosaic Working Group. Of course, if I release this link page, I will also have to release the other pages that it points to (e.g. the Intro, and retired pages). I believe that the only page of concern is my personal page. We can deal with the other pages at a later time if my personal page is released.
